The Bloom Team is about increasing green cover on school grounds and in local areas to help absorb pollutants, improve local air quality and offset CO2 emissions.

Join the Bloom Team
Participating schools and youth organisations will team up with young people and their communities to boost green cover on school grounds and in their local area — planting trees, building pollinator corridors, and growing green walls.
There are multiple ways for schools and youth clubs to score points for greening activities:
+1 OPNY point for every tree planted
+10 points for every green wall (10 points per side, min height 1m)
+10 points for every green (mesh) fence (10 points per fence, min height 1m)
+10 points for every green roof (min area 5m²)
+10 points for the creation of a pollinator friendly corridor or area
+10 points for building a bug hotel
